What is Ytowait?

Ytowait is a Social networking application, helps users to find and connect with people who have similar thoughts. The main feature Spotmate helps users to find the person who grabbed their attention. There are many other features which keeps users engaged with Ytowait.

Why I have to use 2 user names in Ytowait?

Ytowait people or Circle is the main feature which requires a username. This will be available for the users to search make friends to remember, to chat. This name is publicly visible.
Spotmate is an independent private feature. You can connect with people whom you missed on a train, bus, function, mall anywhere without sharing your personal info. Your spotmate username is visible to limited people with whom you’re trying to connect.

I Don’t want to use spotmate, can I still use Ytowait?

No, spotmate is an independent feature of Ytowait, but if you search in spotmate, then only your profile will be visible to the person whom you’re trying to connect. If you don’t post if you don’t search your profile is completely hidden or not visible.

Can I stop a user to send remembers to me?

Yes, you can block a user so that the person will not be able to remember you and message you or you can unfriend the user so that you won’t be having any connection with that person.

What is remember feature?

Remember is an exclusive feature of Ytowait. It helps Ytowait users to express their emotions or thoughts whenever they think of a person in any moment/situation just by using a remember category. It is a feature that helps users to see how frequently people, friends, family remember them, and the number of taps to tell that how strongly people remember them.

What is remember count?

If someone send a remember to you, that means you got one remember, if you send a remember to your friend that means your friend got one remember count. It’s basically the count of remembers you got from people.

What is remember score?

Score is the count of remembers you sent and received from your friends. If you send remember to one person, you get 100 points, and the receiver will get 100 points. But, if you tap on remember for 5 times, on 1st tap the user gets 100 + 10 points, on 2nd tap the user gets 100+20 points. Likewise if you tap 5 times the user gets additionally 50 points. Which means you get hundred points and the receiver gets 150 points.

What is silent remember?

Silent Remember, is an option in remember process where you can send a Remember without a push notification. The receiver will not receive any push notifications or the receiver will not be disturbed with this Remember. They user can see you are remember only when they open the application.

Can I stop receiving remembers from people?

Only people who became friends with you can send you Remembers. If you don’t want to receive them, you can block them or else unfriend them.

What is Mute?

If you mute one person, you won’t be notified with push notifications from that person. You can still receive their messages and Remembers. It's just that you won’t see any push notifications for that person.

What is Block User?

If you block a user, you won’t be able to Remember and send message to that user, even the other person also won’t be able to Remember or send messages to you. But, you will still see the user in your friends list. You need to unlock the user to send Remembers or messages.

What is favourite user?

If you favourite a user, that user contact will be moved to the Favourite tab. It excludes favourite friends from the regular friends list, where you can favourite unlimited users.

What is report user?

Users can report a specific person if they see something wrong with the user, or could be the wrong identity, behaviour, activities or any other. Which make you feel uncomfortable. Our backend team will check and take the necessary action against the user.

What is a favourite count in my stuff?

Favourite count is a number that shows how many people have favourited you.

What are profile views?

Whenever a user opens your profile from friends list or search list, it will be counted as one view. Likewise, if any user opens your profile, it will be shown under your profile views.
Example: If 100 people have opened your profile, it will show you 100 views. It doesn’t calculate off-line profile views, which means if there is no internet, it won’t be counted.

Can I change my circle username?

No, it’s not possible.

Can I change my circle display name?

Yes, you can change it anytime.

What is profession in remember preferences?

Profession defines the work you do.
Example1: If you are an IT Professional, you can mention IT Professional.
Example2: If you are a student, you can mention Student.

What is bio?

Bio defines something about you. It could be your status. It could be about you. You can put something what is running in your mind, etc. The maximum limitation here is 120 characters.

Can I change my spotmate display name?

Yes you can

What is my friends?

It’s a section where you can see all people who became friends with you.

Can you can I unfriend a user?

Yes, you can unfriend any person whenever you want. Just go to the user profile and on the top right corner, Clicking on three dots you can see an option called unfollow. When you unfollow a user, all the Remembers, messages, activities happened with that user will be deleted permanently.

What is You and me?

You and me is a section where you can see the history of the remembers activities with Count. It also shows when the friendship has started.

Can I delete activities from you and me?

Yes, you can delete the activities using the clean button from you and me. It will delete the activities permanently for you. It doesn’t remove for the other users.

What are Ytowait Features?

Ytowait has many features like Spotmate and Stories and a lot more coming soon to keep our Users engaged. (Openup, People, Influencer).

How do I register for Ytowait?

To register in Ytowait, all you need is a unique mobile number.

What is the age requirement for Ytowait registration?

The minimum age limit for any user to join Ytowait is 13 years. Anyone below the age of 13 years are strictly not allowed to register on the App.

Do I need to select my Gender also?

Yes, gender is mandatory as we show you relevant information and profiles based on gender.

Can I login to Ytowait without registration?

No, registration is mandatory.

Can I change my mobile number after registration?

No, once a Mobile number is registered, you will not be able to change the number.

How secure are my personal details shared during the registration process?

Your data is highly secured. Your password is encrypted.

I forgot my password, how do I change it?

In case a user forgets the password, the user needs to click on the forgot password option and then enter the registered Mobile number, an OTP will be generated and on entering the correct OTP a User will get access to create a new password.

How do I change my password?

To change the password, please go to the profile section and select the Change Password option to change the password.

Can I use my old password while changing it to a new password?

No, We suggest not to use the same old password when you are trying to create a new password.

Why did my account get blocked?

If other Users report you for abusive or offensive content, then on verification, if your content is offensive or abusive your account will be blocked.

My account got blocked by the admin, how many days do I need to wait for the account to be activated?

According to the Terms of Service once your account is blocked by the admin, you do not have any chance to re-activate your account. Admin will check and activate your account only after 30 days.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account, please visit the My Info section. Where you will have the option “Delete Account”. Select and proceed further in case you surely want to permanently delete your account.

Can I delete my account anytime?

Yes, you can delete it anytime.

Is Ytowait free?

Yes, it's free as of now. You may need to pay a small amount in future. You can see such information in the paid features section.

I am not able to receive OTP on my mobile, why?

Please recheck your mobile number again. Please check your network strength, check the messages availability in your inbox. Restarting your mobile sometimes fixes the issue. Also, please ensure that you are not on any active DND plans from your service provider. Please contact your provider to remove from DND.

How can I contact the Ytowait support team?

How do I send my feedback to the Ytowait team?

Does my account get deleted/blocked If I don't use my account for longtime?

Yes, your account will be suspended if you don't use it for 12 months. You can contact our support team for reactivation possibilities.

Can I archive my data(posts)?

No, this feature is not available as of now.

Can I download all my account details and posts in a PDF or any other format?

No, this feature is not available as of now.

Do Ytowait Share my personal details to all 3rd parties?

No, we share only limited User data with authorized third parties to increase User experience. You can see what type of content is shared with 3rd parties from this section.

How do I know My Ytowait app Version?

You can see it from the Version history in Settings.

How do I update a new Ytowait version?

You can update it from Google play store or the Apple App Store. We will send you a notification when the new version is available.

Can I downgrade my Ytowait Version?

No, we suggest you keep your App up to date to get a good User experience.

Can I register with the same mobile number after I delete the previous account with the same mobile number?

Yes, you can. It will be treated as a new account.

Is a web version available for Ytowait?

No. As of now we have the App.

Stories/What's new?

What are the stories in Ytowait?

Ytowait allows Users to share their stories which are interesting, and/or influencing. Stories can be submitted depending upon the category. Our backend team will analyse and publish them. Your Stories are visible to Users who open the stories section. Your story can reach a wider audience in a short span.
Ex: Entrepreneurship, Fashion, Music, Dance etc.

Who can submit stories to Ytowait?

Any registered User, If you have a nice story you can submit it, don't wait, go ahead and do it now.

Is there any limit to submitting stories?

No, there is no limit.

What is the process Ytowait follow to accept and publish my story?

Story should follow our terms and conditions. It should be interesting and create some impact on the Users. We have an internal backend team to verify and analyse your story.

I submitted a story, but it's not getting approved and published, why?

It completely depends upon our selection process. Our backend team verifies and analyses your story. If it's really interesting and useful, please be patient. Your Story gets approved.

Do Ytowait stories are language specific?

Yes, sometimes, depending upon the content.

What are the categories in Ytowait stories?

Fashion, Sports, entrepreneurship, technology, gadgets, music, dance, social responsibility etc. We will update more soon.

How do I report if a story is misleading or fake?

What is the validity of my story?

24 hours to 72 hours. It may change in future.

Can I Cancel / withdraw my story before publishing?

Yes, please drop an email to support@Ytowait.com stating the reason for the same along with the registered Mobile number.

Is seen count for a Story Organic?

Yes, it shows the count of the Users and the number of times they have visited the story page.
Ex: If a user opens the story page Two times, then the seen count shows 2.

What is Spotamte?

Spotmate feature helps Users find and connect with someone special who grabbed their attention at any place or in any vehicle in the world. It mainly helps users to find and connect with missed connections.

Who can write spotemate post?

Anyone, if your eyes meet with a particular person, and if you are unable to establish a communication with them directly, don't wait, Spotmate can help you.

Is the Spotmate feature free?

Yes, as of now all the features are free. In future Users may need to pay a small amount for the paid features. Don't worry, you will be notified of any changes in the future, until then explore and enjoy our free version.

Why am I unable to post from the Spotmate feature?

Maybe your Paid plan has expired or Admin might have limited access to your profile / Posts as your post doesn't follow Ytowait’s Terms and Conditions.

Do I need to follow any instructions before the Spotmate post?

Yes, you need to follow Spotmate and Ytowait instructions or else your post gets blocked by our backend team.

Can I write a Spotmate post without a profile picture?

Yes, you can. But we suggest you to upload your real profile picture which can help you to find your missing special someone. If you need more privacy you can upload your dress or appearance picture or you can write your appearance.

Is my Profile picture for Spotmate specific to a post?

Yes, your Spotmate post will detect the Profile picture and display it in the search result. At the time of writing a Spotmate post if you don't have a profile picture updated, no profile picture is displayed in the search results.

Do I need to Describe my appearance when my profile picture is already updated?

It's your choice, if your profile picture is clearly visible to your missed special someone, maybe you can mention NA.

How do I identify the person who has seen my post?

If you are looking for your missed special someone, when they open your post, you will be notified. If their profile picture is updated,the same will be displayed to you so that you can identify them. If their profile picture is not updated, you can use the Describe My Appearance option to describe. You can identify the person with the given description.

What happens if someone opens my spotmate post?

If someone opens your Spotmate post, you will get a notification. And also you can see the list of people who opened your post.

Does the Post owner get notified when I open a post?

Yes, the Post owner will get a notification if someone opens any Spotmate post.

How can I see a post without opening it?

No, you can not see the complete post without opening it. You can see it in search results, you may see limited information only.

Where can I see a list of Spotmate posts which I have seen?

You can see all your Spotmate activities in the My stuff - Spotmate section.

How many people can see my Spotmate posts?

There is no limit until you hide the post or the admin blocks the post.

Can I block someone from sending replies to my Spotmate post?

No, you can’t.

What is the validity of a Spotmate post?

As of now no Validity. In the future we may change it to a week or month.

Can I write a Spotmate post for the previous months/Years?

Yes. Use our Calendar option to see the available dates.

Can I write posts in my Own language?

No, please use English language to write spotmate posts. If you use any other language your post gets blocked by our backend team.

What is the Hide post option in Spotmate?

Hide post helps you to make the post invisible in search results. Use it when you find your missed connection. It helps you to stop displaying your post in search results to avoid other people seeing and responding to your post.

How do I know how many people have seen my Spotmate post?

When you open your Spotamte post, you can see the list of users that have seen your post at the bottom of your post.

How do I report content which I don't like in Spotamte?

You can find the Report Post option next to Spotmate post. Please select the reason and write your comments. Our backend team will review the post and take necessary action.

Why am I unable to reply to a Spotmate post?

Maybe the admin has limited your access for not following Ytowait and Spotmate Terms and Conditions.

What happens if I delete a Spotmate post?

If you Delete a spotmate post before establishing chat with other users, it simply removes your post permanently and your post doesn't appear in any search results.
If you delete the post after a chat is established with another user, all associated chats for this post get deleted permanently.

Can I delete my Own Spotmate posts whenever I want?

Yes, you can. If your Profile or posts are blocked and if your account is under review you may not be able to do so.

Why is my Spotmate post blocked?

Ytowait Admin might have blocked your post for violating the Terms and Conditions.

Spotmate Chat

What is Spotmate chat?

Spotmate feature is a post based concept. If a user finds the missed connection , the user can unlock the post. If the other user accepts the request then chat will be established between both the users. All conversations pertaining to the Spotmate post will appear in the chat section.

How do I block / unblock someone in chats?

Block/Unblock options are available for each chat window.

Is there any relation between my Spotmate post and chat?

Yes, Spotmate chats are based on Spotmate posts. If you delete a spotmate post, all chats associated with the post get deleted or blocked.

Who can start a chat conversation in Spotmate chats?

Any User that establishes a chat with the Spotmate post owner can start a conversation in Spotmate chats.

Who are visible on my Spotmate chats?

You can see the chats of the connected Users.

What is a clear chat in Spotmate?

Clear Chat enables you to clear all chats. Once a User clears the chat, all the conversations get deleted for the User. Chats of other Users still remain the same and whenever they send a message the same is displayed to the User as a new Chat.

What is delete chat in Spotmate chats?

Delete Chat enables you to delete a particular chat. When you delete a chat all messages pertaining to that chat are deleted. The other User in the chat can still see all the messages. If the other User sends a message the same will be displayed as a new message.

What is Block and delete in Spotmate chat?

Block and Delete enables a User to delete a particular chat and block the User at the same time. When you Block and Delete in Spotmate chat, the blocked User can not send any messages once blocked. It is a permanent deletion of the chat window with all messages exchanged.

Why am I unable to send messages to a person in Spotmate chat?

The Opposite person might have blocked you or the admin might have limited your access based on your activity or for violating the Terms and Conditions.

How do I know whether a person has seen my Message in Spotmate chat?

A Wave sign is displayed beside seen messages.

Can I delete my chat whenever I want?

Yes, you can.

Are my chats visible to other users?

No, only the Users of that particular chat can see the chats.
Ex: User X is chatting with user Y. Chat is visible to X and Y only.

Do the Ytowait backend team check my chats?

Not all teams. Only authorised teams in Ytowait can see the chats if any legal complaint is filed.

Are my chats visible to Ytowait admin/backend teams?

Not to all teams. Only authorised teams in Ytowait can see the chats if any legal complaint is filed. We don’t allow our backend teams to read your chats.

You can see all notifications in this section. Ex: If someone replies to your post you will be notified here.

What type of notifications appear in the notification section?

Admin notifications, Spotmate related notifications.

Can I cancel notifications?

Yes you can. Using the “X” mark on the top of notification you can cancel it.

You can go to My Stuff section in the app, then open My info section. Where you can see a button to delete your account to permanently delete your account and data from Ytowait app. once you delete your account, you will have to signup again to use the app.

Push Notifications

What are Push notifications in Ytowait?

Push Notifications are clickable pop-up messages that appear on your mobile screens. They are useful when you are not using the app. They notify you when some action happens in your account/App.
